Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has put together a 'master list' of all projector manufacturers' RS232 command codes? Obviously I can trawl datasheets for each manufacturer, but having done this for a while, it's becoming a bit tedious! (Plus it's amazing how many manufacturers have different codes and/or physical pinouts between their own projector range!).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have never seen, and never thought about producing, such a summary. To write reliable software you have to use the definitive documentation about the protocol, which is what the manufacturer provides for your version of your device. As you have discovered there are diffrences between manufacturers, and between different models from the same manufacturer. There can also be differeces between different protocol versions for the same device. I would never consider using a summary list, even if I had compiled it myself, in preference to the manufacturer's documentation.

This is the closest thing to an impossible request I've ever seen. As you pointed out, there is no consistency in RS-232 Protocols. a List completed today would be obsoleted tomorrow.

Luckily, manufacturers have become more relaxed about providing RS232 Information for their products (As long as they themselves have it) so its usually not an issue to look up.
