So long story short, I was assigned an A/V integration project that centers around a BARCO Transform A Video Wall Controller.

The controller is pretty old, but according to the company that bought it, it was never taken out of its box until now.

Either way, the reason I'm creating this thread is because I have yet to command the Transform A via RS-232 or TCP/IP successfully (it can be controlled both ways, according to the manual).

I've tried everything, but the controller doesn't seem to be responding to my commands at all (I've used Windows HyperTerminal, Putty and Crestron's ViewPort for sending out the commands).

I've made sure:

- The RS232 cable is the right one.
- Its connected to the right RS232 port on the Transform A.
- It has the correct Baud Rate

The list goes on and on....

But I also tried using TCP/IP instead of RS232, and the same things happens, but with TCP/IP, Putty/HyperTerminal doesn't even connect properly to the Transform A, meaning that after I enter the correct IP Address, Putty immediately prompts me with an error message saying "Network Connection Refused" or something close to that.

So its not an issue that I'm sending out the wrong commands, because on a properly working RS232/TCP IP communication, it would return an "invalid" or "wrong syntax" error, but here I get NOTHING, even worse, on TCP/IP the terminal (Putty) immediately gives me an error message after trying to connect.

Things I've also tried:

- I tried running HyperTerminal on the Barco Transform A itself to connect to my Crestron Controller (to rule out the possibility of a bad config on the RS232/TCPIP ports), but that went perfectly well, I connected to my Crestron Controller using RS232 and TCPIP just fine.

So anyone that could help me with this?
