I am looking for commands for controlling apple TV using IP. I have found some products that claim to control apple TV like RTI. However, I am not able to find any information on forumes on how to control apple TV using Ip commands.
I appreciate any guidance.

That's because the guy who wrote the RTI driver spent months reverse-engineering the control protocol. It's more involved than simply sending text strings to the AppleTV.
If you have an AppleTV 2, you can jailbreak it, and there is some support for IP control that way.
Consider a Roku 3. You lose Airplay, but get most of the same apps, and IP control to boot.

If you install Firecore to your Apple TV you can use TCP/ip commands to control it, I asked them 2 years ago to include this took them a while buts there is a document on their site.
