Hi Everyone.
I need help setting my Sony TV to being controlled over ip.
I use iRule and the commands does not work in there builder.
I have contacted there support, and they are at a loss and come back and said that the server must be broken ?????
I downloaded Roomie remote to try, and the commands work fine.
Can someone tell me about the SOAP actions and how do i do this in the simple rest client.
e.g-is it GET or Post,
and what do i put in under Headers and Data ?
I am using Port 80 if thats any help.
Any help would be great as i don't want to use an IR emitter on the TV.
I only need to Power off the TV as i use WOL.
I then need Power off, volume up and down and mute as i got the smaller version of this tv in the bedroom.
Thanks Guys.

I may be wrong, but from what I have read on other forums, there is no IP control of this TV save the ios app. (Of course, I was researching the XBRs). I have not seen a driver come across any of the various control systems I use. If roomie and the ios app work, it might be possible to wireshark some of the commands and implement them into the control system.

I do know the XBR projos have IP control, but their command structure for IR /232 are different than the TVs, so I can't imagine the codes are the same.

Im at a bit of a loss when you say wireshark ?
This is frustrating as i have read on the internet, people who have got 2014 sony models who can get commands to work.
This is why i asked about the simple rest client.
iRule sent me a simple rest client which the tv asks for a code which i sent and the led blinks to say connected.
But the commands still don't work.
Im at a loss.
