Anyone controlling Epson 5030UB through MSC400 RS232?
5030UB is not in CCP serial database, anything other model in the DB works with this projector?

Thank!

Personally, I like to use my MSC400 as a serving tray. It is a lovely conversation piece when I have guests over.

However, I would first start here:

[Link: epson.com]

That's the full RS232 command list which is available on Epson's website if you go to support and search your model number.

Admittedly, that document is poorly formatted. However, if I were a guessing person, had no internet access, refused to use IR (which makes more sense to me in this situation), and had to have the project done before someone on RC would respond, I would try other projectors in the Powerlite line, which this epson is a part of.

The powerlite 1810, comparing against that awful esc/vp 21 document, should give you what you need, assuming you have your Tx/Rx pins correct.

Epson protocol changes very little from model to model. On some models the input codes are different but are docummented well.

SysIntegration,

What would you recommended as an upgrade from MSC-400?

Your most easy upgrade in terms of UI for the customer, wires, ease of use, and familiarity would be the MRX-10. Move from CCP to Total Control.
