I have a LG 47lx9500 that I would like to control via rs232 but it appears according to LG's website that the serial connection is for "service only". My question is does that mean Im not able to control the TV via that connection? I am using an RTI XP6 processor and T2X handheld remote.

I have multiple LG tv's that say service only and still work with RS232 control.
