I have a Marantz SR6006 being controlled via RS232 by a Phillips Pronto Serial Extender. I have almost all the commands (which I got from Remote Central) working correctly and I am only missing a few. This is the strange thing - the commands I have working (and got from Remote central) are NOTHING LIKE the commands published by Marantz - on their website. They don't follow the same format and none of the published Marantz commands work. I just need a few more commands to work like "Amp Menu" which is different than the standard "Menu" (which is like 'content menu') function.

Does anyone have any insight on this strange matter? I installed an Onkyo Reciever last year and took the commands straight from the Onkyo document - plugged them into Pronto edit and it worked immediatly...

There are two different RS232 protocols used by Marantz, the old one used by many years and the new one used by the IP capable receivers like the SR6006, which happens to be based on the Denon protocol with minimal differences to reflect proprietary functions. You were probably using the wrong document.
