I have a Samsung 2011 TV (LN32D403) with what seems to be an ex-link port, however, it is labeled "service only."

I've made an ex-link cable but there is no option to turn on UART in the service menu. I've turned on Hotel Mode, is that enough to enable RS-232 control?

Hopefully someone smarter than me has figured this out. Thanks for any help.

Okay, so I've figured out that they restructured the service menu with 2011 tvs. Now, you can access the advanced menu by slowly pressing 0000 one inside the normal service menu. Then, the options for UART are MDC, On1, On2, Auto Wall, and Debug.

I still can't get any response over the service port, though. Any thoughts on what these options mean?

I am also trying to do this on a UN19D4003, which has those same UART options. Did you ever get yours to work?

The above link does say "no receive". I'm trying to use the FSR Flex LT200
to turn on/off a Samsung using the ex-link port with no luck.
