Hi everyone,

I have just found this forum through some google searches and thought I share my experiances here and also ask for some help.

I have had quite a bit of success controlling both my AV Receiver (RX-V1067) and my BluRay Player (BD-S1067) over IP.

The aim is to fully integrate them both with my home automation system. I am using a system from a company called Loxone, which is IP based. A great system, definately worth having a look at, but that is not really the topic of this post, so lets get back to the Yamaha kit.

I used Wireshark and the Yamaha Android app to work out what the commands were that the Android app sent to both devices. From this I compiled a long list of commands and tested them. I am more than happy to share them with everyone. Can I send someone a spreadsheet with these commands so that they get included in the files section for everyone to download?

One issue I am facing though is that for the BluRay player I can only find a "Power Toggle" command... I hate this as it is not deterministic...  The "RC_Code" for the toggle command is 7c80, which looks like it is just the IR code sent over IP, so does anyone know what the "Power On" and "Power Off" codes are? Maybe knowing the IR codes will help... Certainly worth a go.

It would be great to know if anyone else has worked on this as well and found them.

Best Regards,
Philipp

I am afraid I can not help you, but I also have an RX-V1067 which I want to integrate in my KNX system (KNX/Wiregate) using IP control. Would you be able to share your list of commands?

For Yamaha RX-V473, these IP codes work:

@MAIN:PWR=On\x0D\x0A
@MAIN:PWR=Standby\x0D\x0A

Cheers.

Hi

Thanks Smails for the codes, that really helped me to know that I was in the right direction. Im completely new to IP and RS232 programming and was flying in the blind. Im trying to control my Yamaha RX-V1067 via rs232, as I understand IP commands are the same as RS232!? So I should be able to use the same as the ones you are using.

Does any of you have a list of the commands, I do have the file from AWE europe (Thank you very much for that link, NEWF), but it would be nice if I didn't need to do all the work if it was already made:-)

Smalis why are you using \x0D\x0A at the end, I thought you would use \r\n (Carriage Return and Line Feed), are they the same?

Thanks

Regards
