Using the MSC-400 and the serial connection, it won't turn on. I have tried multiple codes. If manually turned on, all other functions work including OFF. I just can't turn it back on. It doesn't come on when using a terminal program either

What am I missing??
And Thanks!

Not familiar with that particular unit, but my best guess is that there is some form of powering saving on that unit that shuts off the RS-232 while the unit is powered down. I would go into the menu and see if you see anything like that and then see if it fixes your problem.

Be sure that ou send the Power On command twice. The port is asleep and needs a "wake up". Use a slight delay and you should be good.
They call me the "Thread Killer". Just watch!

Hmm, hadn't considered that. I was in test mode. I'll write a macro and try it.

It seems my particular unit requires 3 Power on commands at 200 milliseconds apart! It works very well now.

Thanks for your help!
