Does anyone know of any TV brands/models that allow for control via IP?

Including the post above, I've heard intimations that Sony, Panasonic, and Sharp all have potential models.

Sharp is the only one I can confirm because Control4 currently has IP drivers for a line of Sharp LCDs that go from 40" to 60".

I'm hoping to find some smaller televisions that offer IP control and I'm capable of writing a Control4 driver if I could find a protocol doc. If anyone has information on where to get protocol docs for any of these brands (aside from Sharp) I'd greatly appreciate it!

Vincent,
have LG actually released the IP protocol to the public? I'm aware that the new 'smart TV's' have an iPhone/iPad app, but without the protocol/port info we can't use it with a control system (RTI at least).
Other than that, to answer the OP, Samsung 'commercial' line is supposed to have IP control and is freely available.

sharp page says IP controllable:
[Link: sharpusa.com]

IP Control - feature enables a PC or control device to control basic TV functions via the Ethernet terminal.

Has anything changed with this? I'd like to buy TVs for a customer, but would like to buy from a model line that supports IP control via the Crestron system.

Does someone have expérience with the Panasonic VT50?
I heard there is WOL option to be able to turn on the TV by IP, does it work?

Bump. Every time I see a discussion about this it never seems to end with a definitive answer, just someone that heard it can be done or is working on it. Any newer info on the discussion above? Has LG ever officially released this supposed IP control? For that matter has Panasonic, Samsung or Sharp done so for any of their consumer sets?

And then I saw that David had posted here so now I'll get the correct info I need. Because you know you can always trust David.

stefuel....

Agree, these TV manufactures have all this info but they will not share it or make it simple. I have an app that runs the TV, why can't they give me the IP commands to turn off an on? I know why, they don't want to provide the support for all the DIY and Pros that would call in. I think they are missing the point in my opinion. Make it simple make it the commands simple, PON, poweron... should be port 80 or some other standardized port.
