I am brand new to matrix switches, I don't even have one yet, but I own a start up company that sells hdmi cables and other audio/video accessories and me and my partner got lucky and landed a large order.

However my plan is to propose a setup that includes a 4x4 HDMI matrix switch and control it via rs-232, but I have no clue how to do this, I am a php programmer, but I don't know very much about serial ports and how to use them.

So what I was wondering was, is there an easy to use program that could be displayed on a screen where a user could simply click or select channel 1a is displayed on channel 1b and 2b for example? What would be the best solution to propose for my customer to use?

Thanks, I appreciate the help!
