Hello, wondering if someone can help me, have been going crazy trying to get the Toshiba HD-XA2 protocol to work. I am using RTI and client has an XP-8 so he is using an ethernet cable attached to a DB-9 connector which comes with the XP-8. I cannot under any circumstances get a peep out of the DVD player. I have tried:

- Null Modem Adapter (which I believe it needs)
- No Null Modem adapter
- Cycling the power on the XP-8 AND the Toshiba on/off iwth each of the above
- tried every code in RTI's current RS-232 mega list.
- Made sure my connection was good

I can't figure this out - people have claimed to get this to work with the same codes - can't imagine what I need to do with the connection. If anyone has any ideas on how this thing works I would welcome anything possible. Hopefuly if someone did get this to work with RTI let me know what you used and what kind of connection...

Thanks

Power on/standby \x45\xB5\x12\xED Baud 19200 8, 1, none db-9 female to female pins 2,3,5 are used. pins 2 and 3 crossed over. Main diffenrence between HD-XA1 and HD-XA2 are the baud rates, HD-XA1 baud rate is 9600, commands are pretty much the same. If you need them I have all the codes on an excel spreadsheet
