I have my Sony KDL-55XBR8 TV responding to all of the codes as per the RS-232C protocol manual available from the files section here or Sony's web site. Most of the codes are discrete which is great, but some basic commands are missing - channel up/down, home (menu), options, return, up/down/left/right, select, 0-9, etc. Does anyone have these? If not, does anyone have an e-mail or phone contact at Sony that might be able to help me out?

I have a protocol document that has the channel up/down and direct channel entry but I do not believe Sony has the other functionality. I've controlled multiple Sony TV's via RS-232 but really have only used them as monitors so have never tried the other commands. I didn't see a way to post that or attach it on a RC mail so if you want it let me know what email address to send it to but I think if you need all of those functions you will have to switch to IR.
