Can someone give me a serial command example exactly as I need it for the TSU-9400 to communicate a 'Pause' with my Denon DVD-A1UDCI please. Here is a snippet from the Denon serial protocol sheet:
No. Command Code (ASCII) Operation 1 Power ON 20h ([SP]) Power-on request from the standby state 2 Power OFF 21h (!) Power-off request 3 Request System Status 30h (0) Acquires system status ( such as the entire player and transfer unit ) . 4 Request CPU Version 31h (1) Acquires the CPU version. 5 Play 40h (@) Starts playback. 6 Stop 41h (A) Stops playback. 7 Pause 42h (B) Requests a pause. 8 Skip 43h (C) Moves to another group or title or chapter or track
I know this snippet may not contain all the info that might be required but there is no attachment feature on this forum. I can send it (the entire protocol pdf)directly to someone in email if they request it.

See if this works. I haven't really programmed the Pronto's in a while, but this is the command for Crestron: \x02\x42\x00\x00\x00\x00\x00\x0345

I can give it a try tonight but that won't help me much with the rest of the programming. What (PDF, link to a list of commands??) did you draw this command from? I found the hex codes for Denon Blu-Ray players in the file attachment area of this site that I can try also but the list of commands in it is incomplete.

The Hex codes I found for Denon Blu-ray players worked but it is incomplete. I get everything about how the hex codes work accept how the last two hex values in each command are obtained. For example
Pause is: 02 42 00 00 00 00 00 03 34 35
02 is STX (start of text), 42 is the hex value for pause, 00 00 00 00 00 are reserved, 03 is ETX(end of text). I get this from the Denon serial protocol sheet, but what I don't get are where do the hex values 34 and 35 come from. Anyone, anyone?
Thanks in advance,
Gordy
