Hi all,

Been doing RS232 command for a few years and would like to move with the times and start using IP commands.
Any advise on where to start I have no background of the code's used or any thing...

We use RTi, URC, Pronto (RIP) and would like to build knowledge up too install a varity or IP labelled products.

Where does the IP database come from (Manufactures?) or do we have to intergrate the network for the commands?

Thanks.

There may be a lot of IP devices onthe market, but not alot of them allow you to control them via IP. That is because the API for various products is not readily available and/or not released by the company.

Your first step is to pick a manufacturer that is controllable via IP and get the API and figure out how to reverse it inside your application.
