OK, After many phone calls and emails to Smasung, and getting to top level support , the answer was :-

" there are no ethernet commands available"

so i say," you have a Android and apple app how do they work "

Via ethether net was the reply.......

ok i said can i have the protocol that is used in the apps...

Sorry there is no protocol available....

Come on Samsung.. where is the "smart" in you "Smart TV"

I also asked for the protocol for the Blu ray player and got the same reply..

Is there no one on this forum that has a contact at Samsung that can get the protocol????

ok this is how good samsung support is ...NOT!

And this seems as good as it gets,

Dear Mark B,

Thank you for contacting Samsung Electronics.

We understand that you would like to obtain the protocol on how to create app for Apple & Android.

We would like to inform that, email support is a basic troubleshooting support for all Samsung products and
we don't have more information on internal parts or the protocol of the units.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

As we see the issue, we suggest you contact the Apple support or Android support for more information on
your request.

If you require any further information, feel free to contact us.

Thank you,

Samsung Online Support.
