Since URC never made any effort to fix USB emulation port on the back of the MSC-400, I found another solution.

Ingredients:
Aaxeon STE-501C + PA-STX-US ([Link: aaxeon.com])
Media Center TCP/IP Controller

Recipe:
Download Media Center TCP/IP Controller from http://vmccontroller.codeplex.com and install on your Windows MCE computer.
Now your MCE is listening for control commands on TCP port 40500
Connect STE-501C to RS232 port of MSC-400 via URC RS232 cable.
Connect STE-501C to any avalable port of your router/switch via CAT5.
Apply power.

Here is a list of the commands you can send to your MCE
[Link: vmccontroller.codeplex.com]

I will post a CCP file if anyone is interested.

Nice Gene thanks.

Are there circumstances where this is needed over just using Eventghost on your MCE and the MCS-400 connected to the MCE?

Nice.

What version of MCE did you get it running on?

XP, Vista or W7?

I am also thinking of replacing my thermostat with an IMT350c by Proliphix. ([Link: proliphix.com]) and wanted to make sure STE-501C plays nicely with MSC-400.
I may try the evenghost solution for my MCE and change STE-501C to be Proliphix controller or switch to STE-502C, witch will allow me to control 2 network devices.
