My laptop that I used with a DB9 connection is no longer but my problem is that my new one has NO DB9 port. What does anyone recommend to get the connection. It is going to be used with my Russound equipment. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I was fed of of carrying various USB converters around, everyones hardware seems to only work with one type. Dell still do laptops with an option of a legecy port, this includes RS232. Its worked with everything so far, I use it with Docklight to check connections first etc.

Here it is, although I think when you get it as an option it was about £50...

Dupe...

If your laptop has a PCMCI slot you can try this.

Haven't seen it in Express version.

Nope, no slot for that. I found something that works great.
