Anyone else having problems with DirecTV H20, HR21 since the latests firmware? All of my units stopped working about the same time. DirecTV has passed the buck and deny'd that they even support Serial control.

did you try to unplug the power, wait a minute, plug it back in?  then when the unit reboots fully, press the red reset button.

many people had issues on a firmware update a few months ago, and that pretty much fixed it.

Yeah i tried all the easy stuff. I remember when it went out a couple months ago. DirecTV had another patch the next day to fix it. But this time Ive been unable to change the channel without walking to my media closet and pulling out the IR remote for a couple days now. Ive lost serial control on all 3 of my DirecTV recievers. Serial on all my other components works perfectly.

My HR21Pros are working 232 and I have not yet received a call from my customers who have the same. Let us know what happens.

strange that 3 units would have the problem. if you havent already, try testing the codes using hyperterminal just to rule out that your control system isnt the culprit.

or you can download this utility, it makes it very easy to test
