I'm working on a Pronto configuration for my Marantz SR7002 receiver with feedback (volume, input, etc.) via rs232. Everything seems to work just fine as long as the receiver is turned on. The "off" command also works fine via rs232, but when I want to turn it back on, there's no response to the rs232 "on" command. I've also tried the rs232 "power toggle" command, which also only works for turning it off, not on. I've tried the original pronto-file from the Marantz site, so I'm pretty sure I have all the right commands.

Any ideas anybody?

Thanks in advance.

Best, Peter

Peter,

Check under preferences in the menu. Make sure the unit is in "Normal" mode for the standby option. If its in "Economy" it will not respond to RS-232 codes till the unit is power on by hand or IR.
