I am using a Global Cache Itach with Command Fusion software and Ipad.

Sky remote codes are working fine and they are transmitted to the Blaster on port "3".

Have tried to use Sony DA-5300 the same way but get problems

I have learnt the codes via the Itach on 3 different remotes all of which work with the Sony Receiver.

When I use the Ipad,Itach etc the units all seem to send signals as they should, the itach blinks when it sends the code to the reciever but nothing happens. Have triple checked all the programming info but nothing seems to work.

Any help guys

Sony requires 3 iterations of the command data before it will respond, so right after capturing the commands with GC hardware, increment their "Gaps" setting in the top right menu to 3. This will give you the code as Sony wants it. Their FAQ explains how to do the changes manually too, if you need it. [Link: globalcache.zendesk.com]
