Hey, anyone ever dig deep enough into the BK DIP to figure out if it is possible to add, remove, or just plain rewrite what hardware zones are associated with a code set on the fly?

This would be really handy to use with control systems with programmable logic as you could just have one 'party' code set that could change as other zones dropped in or out of it.

I remember seeing something that indicated it would be possible, but at the time I was on a job and didn't have the time to investigate.

I think I've figured it out. Will test tomorrow.

Well, it works. I'll be able to make a group zone that will be modified based on what other zones in the house are on and being controlled.

Appendix N, Note 13 (in the product specific appendixes for the CT600s) details the format of sending what zones are going to be set to that Code Set. Page 44 of the same document shows you what parameters set what and show the formatting for the set command that you use.

The relevant parameters are 22, for each hardware zone (or just the left zone in a dual mono zone) and 23 for the right zone (in a dual mono zone). You can do a Get command specifying parameter 13 to find out if you successfully changed the code set's output zones.
