Does anyone have documentation to allow for IP control of the Sony BDP-S560?

To my knowledge that unit does not support IP control. The ethernet port functions only for BD-Live support and firmware updates. The Sony BDP-CX7000ES recently issued a firmware update that does make that possible and Crestron has a module on their site for it.

It probably does actually since there is a free iPhone app that can control it via IP. It might just be a matter sniffing the network traffic and figuring out the protocol.

I did a little sniffing and discovered it is using soap to communicate.

Here are some details for those who understand soap. The IP of the Blu-ray player is 192.168.1.155

The protocol manual for RS-232 & IP Network commands was submitted today to Daniel for inclusion on this site.
Hopefully someone may write some code so a PC can be used to manage these devices.

Would someone kindly help me find where that would be posted? I'm converting my HT control to iRule, and am forced to use an IP2IR gateway to control my BDP-S470 but would prefer direct IP control.

Thanks.

It was submitted for inclusion in the files section some time back, we will have to wait until Daniel has the time to update the site.
