Ok, so I have two video storm CMX1616V's and I am controlling it with a RTI RK2. I have 32 sets and 12 sources everything is programmed and functions properly but......I am new to RTI and cannot figure out how to get the two matrix switchers to function as one if that is what I am even supposed to do? It is connected via rs232. Am I missing somthing ? Any advice would be great! thnx

Yes, you are going to want to use 232 to get it to work the best.

Can you switch any of the outputs at all?
If the issue is you can control the first 16 outputs but not 17-32 because you can't find a code in the 232 database, have a look at the codes in the 232 database ("CMX Series Advanced Mode")
Here's the command for output 9 to component input 14: V0914\r
the 09 and 14 would presumably be for the output and input, so try copying the commands, renaming them and replacing the numbers in the string as appropriate.

thanks, got it done..just had to put a /F then string command and at the end..allows it to pass thru first switch.Now I am on to my next hang up. I am re-programming a xantech splcd64v and cannot get any rs232 commands to control this video storm cmx matrix! I have tried everything!

I have checked my string commands thru Hyper-term and it works fine! when testing command thru xantech display flashes on matrix but thats about it. I have to do this job at night soooo there is no tech support to call during these hours.....Any ideas?
