My Onkyo spoiled me being my first RS232 device. Commands were easy and parsing the the feedback a breeze. Responses were clearly delimited.

HR20's appear to have no indicator of the start/end length ect of its variable length ACK strings. What would be the best way to go about trying to reliably parse the return strings from the device?
