Which is a better introductory package to X10? They are priced the same, so the comparison should be strictly on features/functionality. Opinions? Thanks!

I have been looking into that for the past couple weeks. I called x-10 and they told me that both software packages are virtually the same. Any modules, etc that would work for ActiveHome also work with HomeDirector. They also use the same computer interface, so you can buy the HomeDirector kit cheaper and download the ActiveHome software to run it with.
The HomeDirector kit is on special right now for $9.89, at Worth Dist, better hurry because the sale is being held over, check it out!! [Link: worthdist.com]

IBM is no longer supporting Home Director, active home does have the same interface and program updates and even the Active Home program can be downloaded from the www.X10.com web site

According to a meeting I was in with IBM last Wednesday, they are still supporting Home Director and will be introducing new hardware modules to support it.

They are also starting to marketed their Home Director household distribution boxes a little more aggressively.
