I have installed x10 wall/light switches. They work manually, but will not respond to remote commands. What might possibly be wrong?

Lots of things could be wrong. You need to give MUCH more information before anyone can help you in a specific way:

What are the makes/models of the switches?
What is the make/module of the transmitter?
How are you remote-controlling the transmitter?
Does it work if you manually switch it on with the transmitter? Or just at the switch?
Do you have a coupler/repeater installed at your breaker box?

I'm sure there are other questions to ask once you answer these.

Nothing wrong with cross-posting ;)

There are so many x10 forums that are dead, that sometimes you have to post in many different forums to see which are alive and kicking.

A simple look at the "X-10 Chat Index Page", displaying 30 posts from 03/13/05 to now (04/02/05) QUICKLY shows if a Forum is active or not! :D

I merely pointed to a SOMEWHAT IDENTICAL thread, on another Forum, where the ANSWER was already in progress... ;)

[You know - the thread with the TM571 Transceiver. ;) ]

Too bad neither priapos or homeseer have returned yet... :(

Treetop, can you please list the LINKs for some ACTIVE X-10 Forums? Thanks!
