Hello,

I have a fan which has 4 lights and I was wondering If i bought 4 screw-in lamp bulbs then set them all on the same housecode like the 4 lights all on A1, then could I turn them all on/off at the same time and dim all off them at the same time?
PLEASE HELP

Many Thanks.

Yes. However, I'd consider using an inline module installed in the fan box or canopy. This is only necessary if the fan/light was fed via only two wires, not three. (You didn't hang the fan from the original fixture box, did you?)

I just want to add the screw-in bulbs, i dont want to go through the process of hosue wiring! So will it be possible to control all 3 lights by setting all three lights to the same house and unit number? for example all A1?

Thanks. Please Reply

Yes. Correct.

I would recommend switching away from housecode 'A', because many people don't bother to with beginner systems, and you might have a neighbor discover X-10 some day.
