Has anyone tried out this way of home automation?

Seems like a great idea.

Here's a link:

Z-Wave - TechTV Best of CES 2004 Winner

Also, their home website: Zensys

HomeSeer is supporting the technology as well.

The HomeSeer site has the flash demo and also the TechTV video of the Z-Wave product.

Anyone?

Thanks.

Greg

I have seen some very impressive demos of this product and will carry it soon. I just wish they would up there dimmer capacity from its 300 watt limit. It looks to me to be much more robust than Radio RA at a fraction of the cost.

Another big contender is going to be PCS's UPB. I installed several of their switches and they worked flawlessly and were very easy to set up. They are going to have ratings from 600 to 2400 watts. If more controllers support these new guys, X10 will finally have some affordable competition.

Are these available for purchase? I haven't seen them listed anywhere, yet.

We have not listed them yet but can get them for anyone interested. As of the EHEXPO show last week pricing was a bit unsettled, but is targeting the Radio RA territory as that is PCS's target.

We were planning to start carrying them when HAI came out with their support (a few weeks off). It's hard to get to excited about them until you have a way to automate them. I am just using their beta software to set and control. This software has no timer or macro functions just set up and manual control. PCS says a lot of folks like HAI and AMX are signing up, it's again a hurry up and wait situation.
