maybe it's just me. I'll dim the light in my family room while watching tv. after 20-30 minutes, i'll look up and i swear that light is brighter than it was earlier. does this happen to anyone else? like i said, maybe it's just me. :0)

Eyes adjust to the overall lower light level, when you look back up at the lamp itself, it's brighter than the light it casts over the room, so it appears brighter than it looked before your eyes adjusted for a few minutes.
I notice this all the time, but I know this is what's going on.

Try a different housecode. You may have an X-10
neighbor. How far can X10 signals travel? To every house on the same transformer?

Are they energy saving halogen bulbs? If so, they take some time to warm up.
