I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to set-up functions on my Pronto to send out Infra-Red X-10 signals? I have an IR-to-X10 converter.

Will the Pronto 950 send out both IR X-10 and RF X-10 signals?

Thanks in advance

Just received my RU950 + AH IR Control. Having the same problem! Perhaps we can share any info we manage to get or work out for ourselves? I am supposed to be fairly hi-tech but I do sometimes seem to struggle with these gadgets!

The RU950 can send 433.92MHz RF which is what X-10 uses for RF outside of North America but the protocol for X-10 RF differs from the protocol for X-10 IR commands. CodeGen™ will generate the RF format, IR543, and IR543AH codes.

For getting the RU950 to send RF, you'll need to ask for help in the Pronto forum - I can't help with that.

I'm thinking about switching to X-10, since I can't get my 950 work with my current RF light switches. So please keep us up to date on the progress.

In what I red sofar it should work using CodeGen ([Link: mbx-usa.com]) and setting the remote to transmit in RF channel 0 ID 0.

Let me know if it works.

It does indeed work, im using a TM12U x10 rf receiver and am able to control the x10 devices using the codes produced by CodeGen's X10/Pronto generation (FWIW i know the TM13U works also).

All I had to do was set the device on the 950 to RF instead of IR and to select channel 0 and ID 0 as Raptor suggested.

At present I have been unable to find a way to enter X10 codes from the handset, I am currently using preset buttons for on and off (eg. a button for A1 on, another for A2 off, etc.).

Hope that helps.
