I'm been researching this forum and others to find an X-10 compatible security system which can:
a) react to certain motion detection events (have pets in house),
b) when triggered the system should begin by flashing all x-10 controlled lights for a few minutes before the claxon goes off.
c) also begin recording to a VCR when the claxon goes...

A list of hardware would be a fantastic response to this request. TIA

Most time lapse VCR's have a triger input, which will cause the VCR to start recording when the contact is closed, or opened as the case may be.

G50AE is right. i remember reading about those time lapse vcr's when i was researching a camera(s) set up for my driveway. it took 2 stolen laptops for me to figure out to just take the damn thing in the house with me. duh!

This looks like very good stuff! and not too pricey... within reason. I read the online manual and it looks descriptive enough to allow a very competent DIY person to install. Thanks alot for the help guys(or girls as the case may be...)
