Trying to program my PCS Smart Switches to use with MX 700. I downloaded a MXD file that had codes for 1 – 16 and all on – off - dim – bright – on – off . I didn’t see the letter codes to set primary address. Are the letter codes required to do this? Is a file available? Thanks Rich

By letter codes I assume you mean house codes. What interface are you using to talk to your switch's? If you are using an IR-543 it will only work 1 house code. If your using an IR-543-AH then it will do all the house codes, keep in mind that each of these take a differant file for your remote

Yes I'm using the ir543.

I have be reading the manual over and over for the PCS switches, trying to figure out how to send a address of C4 for example. I didn't realize the house code set to C and then pushing the #4 would do the trick.

So the house codes are set by the small knob with the arrow? And you are saying that I can only use 1 of the letters for my system? For a total of 8 or 16 address?

For example, I have the house code set to A. I can set 16 primary address using A1 through A16. Using the ir543, can only address A1 - A8, and then using the MX 700 with the learned codes set A 9 – A 16 ?

The IR543 will let you send all 16 unit codes on the selected housecode.

Pick one housecode and use it for scenes. 16 scenes will be more than you need.

16 scenes should be plenty. How do you send codes 9 - 16 on the IR543. I see how you have buttons 1 - 4 and then slide the selector for 5 - 8. But I'm not sure how you get the other numbers? Thanks Rich

The switch's have no effect when controlling the IR543 from your remote, their only function is to provide control from unit. As far as I know you cannot control anything above unit code 8 directly from the unit. Your MX-700 is perfectly capable of controlling all 16 devices (or scene's) with the right file installed.
