One For All, GE, Zenith? I have an MX-500 (& IR543), but I want to customize the LCD screen so I no longer have to explain to the wife/guests what to do to turn on the lights etc.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Why do you need an X-10 remote if you have an IR543 transceiver. Can't you get the MX500 to control it? I know I have my regular remote controling the IR543.

One reason (the one I used anyway) the MX500 doesen't have unit codes above 10.

I'd rather drag my teeth down the sidewalk.

A good cheap cheap x10 one that will do all of the codes is the HR12A.

Thanks for all the responses.

Riche_guy - I want the cheapie so that I can use it to customize the 10 LCD buttons with the commands (ie porch, hall, kitch, dine, master, office, on, off, bright, dim). Instead of trying to remember (AND EXPLAIN!) that to turn on the dining room light to set a mood, you press 3, then channel up, then volume down 3 times.

Looks like I'm headed to The Shack - thx ONEAC

AutomatedOutlet guy - I'm only interested in INFARED remotes, but thanks
