I have an OnQ HMS 1050 controller in my home and about 15 X-10 (X-10 Pro - like Lowe's carries) switches. There is a PLC (X-10) transmitter kit attached to the HMS to send out X-10 commands. I am having problems with the switches. Specifically, there are switches that just stopped responding to commands. It seems the location of the switches is playing a part. For example, I have my dining room light controlled by an X-10 switch, up until about 2 weeks ago it accepted commands and would switch on/off/dim etc.. The switch would still work manually, but it won't accept commands. Thinking that maybe the switch is bad, I replaced it with a switch I knew was working (after changing the address to that of the dining room) and this did not solve the the problem. My next thought was maybe the controller was having trouble sending out that particular address, so I changed the address to an address I knew was working (responding). Still didn't work. Other switches in the house never seem to skip a beat. I'm lost at this point. Any ideas?

The 1050 is the top of the line controller!! Get a signal bridge and use the Leviton true Rocker switches with AGC.
