Is there a way to turn on my sprinkler system via remote control? What parts do I need? Does it go inline with my timer? My dog likes to dig in the grass, so if I see her doing it I'd like to turn on the sprinklers by remote (too lazy to get up and yell at her).

Yeah I saw the scarecrow, but that is motion activated. I'd like something that is controlled by X-10.

i know that it takes 2 wires per soloniod per sprinkler valve. i'm not sure if voltage is present or if it's just a closure. try shorting the ground of the valve to the zone terminal and see if it triggers. if so, just wire in a parralell circuit to a universal module. i hope this makes sense.

That does make sense. I don't know what a universal module is yet, but if I put the two circuits in parallel, it will still keep the regular timer in the loop. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into a universal module.
