I installed a wall switch in the kitchen yesterday. Thanks God I didn't get shocked :)
Well, it only responds to OFF command, no luck with ON. This switch is working because it was used in another room but then I replaced it with a SwitchLinc.
But miracles happened last night... I was able to turn on so I thought what the heck on earth is going on here. Well, I wasn't cooking so it couldn't be the 220V/110 leg problem. I found out just before I was going to give up that the ON command would work with the FRIDGE is turned on.
Do the fridge absorb electrical noises? OFF command is always working, ON will only work when the fridge is operating.
Thank for your ideas.

Leave the door on the Fridge open at all times. No really: What wattage is the bulb(s)? Try replacing it with a higher wattage bulb or just replacing it.
See what this does and let us know. The fridge shouldn't have any effect but as you know, this is X-10 and even the moon can sometimes cause problems.

Chris,
I have tried different bulbs (3) and they rated from 100W to 150W but they all reacted the same. The current light bulb is 100W.
Serious though, it took me almost 3 hours to figure it out it was the fridge that's causing the miracle.
I really don't know what's happening. Wait a sec... hmm, this might work. Can I shut off all the switches from the main panel and just leave the circuit live for the kitchen light and try it out that way? I'll let you know what happen. Too bad it's too dark already.
