Are there any small swiches like this: [Link: smarthome.com] for fluorescent lights?
Also, I want a switch that will not respond to all on/off. Thanks!

You want an X-10 switch that will not respond to all on/off? That would eliminate everything X-10!

I use "Decora" style for fluorescents (actually fluorescent bulbs in an incandescent fixture.
XPS3 through HomeAutomationNet or Leviton 6291,6293 elsewhere.
Although they seem to introduce (the retrofit fluorescents) a lot of line noise.
A switch that does not respond to on/off means a regular manual toggle. No?

I have a few fluorescent lights outside that I want come on and go off at certain times. I do not want these to respond to an ALL ON or ALL OFF.
I could have the XPS3 on a different house code, and it will ignore the all/on off commands?
I use my ADT (Simon brand?) security panel for these timed events, works really well. I think it can control different house codes too.
Another question, how often do the Simon remote sensors report back to the master control panel?

Well, yes, that's what house codes are for. As for the ADT controlling more than one house code, you have the manual, so you'd have to tell us.

There is no "All on" or "All off" X10 command. There are three commands:
1. All LIGHTS on
2. All LIGHTS off
3. All UNITS off
Most low-cost controllers will only support "All LIGHTS on" and "All UNITS off". "All LIGHTS off" is avaiable on the higher-end controllers.
Each of these commands, like every X10 command, is applicable to only one house code at a time.

I have plug in appliance modules that do not respond to "all lights on" but need a wall switch to control a whole house fan that does not respond to "all lights on". What should I use?
