I bought 6 Activehome X10 2-way Lamp Modules (LM14A) from Smarthome.com for $29.95 a piece. Two of them have gone bad within a couple of days (I am using four out of the six currently). They don't repond anymore to remote signals (through a TM751 Transceiver Module) or through HomeVision activation, for any house code. What's going on? Are there known problems with these modules?
Thanks for any help.

You could be having a noise problem or a phase coupling problem. Do you have an amplifier or coupler in your home? How big is your house? Do you have a computer (I ask because you may be at work). Have you read "The Basics of X-10"? Maybe you can get some answers there. Let us know!

A 6201 Amplifies/Coupler; 3000 sq.ft home; 2 computers (see other thread). Have read a lot of the basics, and more.
Can a noise problem actually damage the LM14A? In an outlet where a new LM14A works okay, the two suspected ones don't.
Thanks for the quick response.

Opps sorry for the extra post!
Sorry if it sounded rude to you! I didn't mean the basics as a whole! I wrote a thread called "The Basics of X-10". If you would like to link to it . Noise more than likely can't damage the LM14A. Are you sure they are bad? I'd make sure before I threw them away. It is possible you gat a bad batch though! X-10 is sometimes a little tricky! Let me know the results of the unpluging.

I am starting to get a handle on the noise of my powerline (see other thread). But the two LM14A switches are still bad. I am wondering if I can get them replaced for free, since they stopped working after just a couple of days.
