It seems I've reached a point of incompetence in programming the ramp rates on my SwitchLincs. I've diligently followed the Advanced Primary Address Programming instructions in the SwitchLinc manual using a maxi-controller I purchased after not being able to set the properties with HomeSeer through my HouseLinc. I give. I transmit the "clear" sequence from the Maxi Controller...I manually adjust the switch to the brightness level corresponding to the desired ramp rate...And then transmit the PLC sequence listed in the manual. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Am I missing a step?

If you're just trying to set the primary address ramp rate, then there is no need to mess around with Maxi Controllers. Just follow the instructions in the manual. Manually set the switch to the brightness level corresponding to the ramp rate that you want (.1 .2 .3 .5 2 4.5 6.5 8.5 9) seconds for 0 - 8 led level. Then just press the set button on the switch twice. What could be simpler?
If on the other hand you want to set a scene ramp rate, or for some reason you just insist on setting the primary address ramp rate the hard way, then be sure that you haven't previously sent the lockout code sequence (M16 O16 P16 N16 P16). It probably wouldn't hurt to send the unlock sequence, in any case (N16 M16 O16 P16 P16). Then try the usual primary ramp rate setting (O16 N16 M16 P16 M16) clear, followed by (O16 P16 N16 M16 M16) set primary ramp rate. Or (N16 O16 P16 M16) followed by the scene address, to adjust the scene address ramp rate.
BTW I believe that the software that came with your Houselinc will do all this stuff for you, but I see that you're using Homeseer instead. I wouldn't hurt to try the Houselinc software.

Thank you very much for the help.
The unlock sequence did the trick!!
You're right, it's a very simple exercise to set the ramp rate right on the switch itself. The only problem is that the max ramp rate you can get using that method is 9 seconds. I was looking for 40 seconds which required the use of a transmitter capable of sending codes without on/off.
Thanks again.
