I have an rf controlled overhead fan with these buttons on remote:
1. speed X 3;
2. reverse;
3. inifinite fade for lighting up or down

Is there a way that the PCS Smartswitch can operate all of these functions (not just the light or just the fan)

I already have a pronto and ir543 as well; just not sure if I should spend the $75 on the PCS switch...

The answer is no, I too have an RF controlled fan on a PCS switch and I use the PCS for on off and the RF when I need to adjust. With the Fan set on high the PCS can bring light and fan speed control but since both are fed from the same power the speed follows the dim. A lot of the fans have a separate wire for light and you could get separate light and speed but it's PCS X 2.

It's a common problem without any easy solution. Since RF is tightly controlled by the FCC there isn’t likely to be one coming out way soon.
