I have an overhead fan/light that is always hot and is controlled by two pull chains. Is there an inline switch that could control the fan? I've heard some "plain" switches will cause the motor to hum.

Thanks,

You can turn the fan on/off, but not control the speed, with an XPFM. You can use the XPDF to control the light portion. There won't be any buzz but you will hear the relay click when turning the fan on or off. You can see them both at [Link: homeautomationnet.com]
