My X10 devices control my pool equipment and backyard lighting. Recently my wireless remote no longer works (it's not the battery, I've checked). The plug-in remote still works however. Does anyone know what could be the problem? If I need to replace my wireless remote, where could I get one?

Thanks........Joe.

Either your RF remote or your RF transceiver has failed.

Joe,

The wireless transceivers sometimes lockup and will no longer respond to RF. Try unplugging the transceiver and plugging it back in after a few moments. It may cure it - for awhile.

Thanks for the responses. This may be a dumb question, but if my transceiver is not working, why does the plug-in (i.e. the remote that plugs into an A/C outlet) work. My understanding is that the plug-in remote also controls the transceiver. Isn't that correct?

Thanks again. I don't know much about X10 equipment. The units came with the house when I bought it.

Joe.

Joe,

No, the plug-in tramsitter has nothing to do with the transceiver. The transceiver is only needed when using a wireless (RF) remote.
