I have installed a wall outlet from x-10 to control a light in my house. When I turn it on, I hear a *pop*, similar to that of a circuit breaker. Does this make sense, or do I need to stand at guard with my fire hose?

Thanks, Jim

Nope. That is normal. The tranceiver that I assume you are speaking of also doubles as an appliance module. What you hear is the relay inside. It it is bothersome get a lamp module and use it instead.

Thnaks for the quick reponse.
It isn't bothersome at all, just wondering if I had hooked eveything up right.

Thanks, Jim
