I'm doing some "virtual programming" of the ocelot, can someone give me a basic understanding of what Leviton Group commands are?

I've purchased a half dozen Leviton switches, a 6343/slave, a couple of 16383's and a couple of straight on/offs (one 3-way and a slave, can't remember the model #'s off hand). I am trying to get the feel of this extended code thing as well as keep my programming lines to a min. (posibly with group commands). Anybody know what I'm asking?

Group modules are modules that can belong to 4 groups. Each module is programmed to go to a preset light level. When a module is programmed into a group, all the Ocelot has to do is send out the group command on or off command. The devices that are programmed to be in that particular group will respond.

The nice thing about this is that it saves on programming. For example: you can have a light in the living room and front porch be in one group and the light in the back yard and the living room be in a different group. When you come in the front door, the front porch and living room will come on and when you come in the back porch the back porch light and living room light will come on.

You can accomplish this in programming in the Ocelot but why do that if you don’t have to. When I automate my house this summer I will use group modules.

I hope this helps,

Excuse me for being naive' (NYE-EVE), what is a group module? Is it another expensive box that I have to find a place to locate?
