I have a receiver that has a stereo zone 2 amplifier built in. I would like to send the left AND right signals to one speaker in a separate room. Does anyone know if there is a way to sum the two channels so I can send both channels info to the one speaker?
Thanks
Steve

I did this to provide audio in the master bath (listen to radio, etc. when getting dressed in the morning) and I used a single speaker that accepts both the left and right channel inputs. [Link: smarthome.com]All of the summing amps I found were too expensive for the application.

Yep.. You can do this using only one speaker. COnnect like this:
RCVR left + to speaker + RCVR right + to RCVR left - RCVR right - to speaker -
Make sense? Hope so!

I wouldn't recommend connecting a speaker like this, I would use a 'stereo' speaker as larry mentioned, or a company called Audioplex Technology has devices as you wish. They also have a volume control called the monogizer, it will take a stereo speaker level input and convert it to a mono speaker level...
