Can anyone help me? Just got an IR543 and it works perfectly when I press the buttons on top of the unit. The problem is when I try to use the Pronto with it. I downloaded several ccf's including some from smarthome.com and the file area on this site and there is no response when I try them out. Should a light come on when the IR543 is detecting a signal from the pronto? A light comes on when I press the buttons on top of the unit but not when I use the pronto. Tried moving the unit to another plug and still doesn't work with the pronto. I have read about all of these bum units and I am wondering if I am one of the lucky ones. Is there a way to tell if I am. Thanks for any help.

A LED is flashing when it receives IR-codes from the Pronto. Maybe it's broke?

Doug;

Your IR543 should display a flickering led to indicate IR recieved. I have one of these units burried in my stack of av equip. and am using a
xantech IR repeater to speak to it with an RC5k
Another thing is IR codes can learn into a remote
that is "dirty" or not reliable.

Contact your vendor for a replacement.
