Ok, here is a biggee. I'm new to this and think I might be close to a home automation that I'd be happy with but there are alot of gaps. I wanted to get a HA system that is controlled via the web (say, homeseer) then buy an epod, hack it and install a wireless LAN card so I can control my house via the web on a color touch screen (my epod). My question is, is there someway I can control my radio (for example) through the web also. I know I can turn devices on and off through homeseer via the web but can I somehow control the volume, presets, stations, etc also???

This is exactly what I am doing with an open source program called MisterHouse. Check out http://misterhouse.net I am using a 2 way infrared controller from DanCraft (www.dancraft.com). I bought it about 8 years ago and the new ones are pricy (~$500), but there cheaper alternatives supported by MisterHouse.
