What's the diff?

Can they both be used for appliances and/or fluorescent lights?

I also just noticed there's something called the MM2F/S-15 too.

I just double checked the PCS site (http://www.pcslighting.com/) and it's showing only two versions.

MM2L/S-800 - Dimming, 800 Watts max

MM2F/S-15 - Non-Dimming, 15A max

The documentation on page 12 of [Link: pcslighting.com] must have old model numbers then.

Anyways, can the MM2F/S-15 be used for both appliances and fluorescent lamps?

Also, if you disable soft-start, can the dimming MM2L/S-800 be used for appliances?

I don't know which source is more current.

The MM2F/S can be used for any non-dimming load.

The MM2L/S can NOT be used for a non-dimming load regardless of how you have it programmed.

Is the reason for not using a MM2L/S for a non-dimming load (even if you disable soft-start) just the official PCS stance?

Or can you (unofficially) still do it if you're really really really careful?

It has nothing to do with soft-start, it's to prevent overheating and a possible fire hazard.
